It is our aim to supply cue builders, both professional and amateur with ebony and many other rare and exotic hardwoods, not only of the highest quality, ethically obtained, and in complete compliance with the latest EU timber regulations, but also expertly kiln dried and fit for purpose.
We are manufactures ourselves and have been using exotic hardwoods in our own production for over a quarter of a century. Twenty years ago we would often experience the disappointment that is all to familiar to any craftsman using exotic hardwoods, your delivery arrives with a higher moisture content than the Mary Rose! and if you don't have kilning facilities, and the technical knowledge of kiln scheduling for super dense hardwoods , your purchase is completely useless and totally unfit for purpose for the next couple of years or more!
And no help at all for filling those outstanding orders..
All of our splice wood has been pre-cut into generous sized splice wedges with one planed face, and are stored in our climate controlled stock room.
Red Amboyna burls
Whilst we would always recommend that the wood has time to acclimatise to your workshop, never before have the exotic hardwoods you require been as well prepared for your requirements.
Brazilian Tulipwood billets.
We also stock dyed veneers in a variety of colours, pre-cut to the standard splice size, so if you are only making one or two cues, you don't have to buy a huge leaf, just the number of pieces and colours you require for your project.
We produce 1.5mm and 2.5mm thick sawcut ebony and other species for the trade, and they too are available on the website.
Soon you will also find ash shaft squares, brass joints, brass ferrules and tips, in short, just about everything you need to make your hand made cues.
